US election: Trump, Biden get heated in 1st presidential debate | FULL

U.S. President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee and former vice-president Joe Biden clashed in Ohio on Tuesday during the first presidential debate, marked by angry interruptions and bitter accusations.

The two candidates sparred over the coronavirus pandemic, job losses, city violence and how the Supreme Court will shape the future of the nation’s health care.

It could be considered what was the most chaotic presidential debate in recent years, with both men frequently talking over each other with Trump interrupting, nearly shouting, so often that Biden eventually snapped at him, “Will you shut up, man?”

Trump tried to control the conversation multiple times, even repeatedly talking over the moderator, Fox News’ Chris Wallace, while also trying to deflect tough lines of questioning – whether on his taxes or the pandemic – to deliver attacks on Biden.

Biden attacked in response, launching his own attacks over the coronavirus pandemic, saying that Trump “waited and waited” to act and urged him to “get out of your bunker and get out of the sand trap” to come up with a bipartisan plan to save people.

Going into the debate, polls showed only 10 per cent of respondents were undecided, and it’s unclear how Tuesday night’s and the following two debates will impact the electorate.
