Coursera, the e-learning platform founded by Stanford grads in 2012, is discounting its annual subscription, Coursera Plus, by $100 now through January 20. It’s the first time we’ve seen the service discounted so deeply.
Originally $399, an annual Coursera Plus membership gives members access to over 3,000 courses — over 90% of the site’s catalog, according to the company. You can learn more about the subscription here, but the gist is this: if you’re planning on taking multiple courses — and paying the fee for features such as graded homework and certificates of completion that you can add to LinkedIn — then Coursera Plus may be a great deal even without this promotion. It’s also a good option for people considering eligible specializations, and you may even qualify for reimbursement from employers that offer educational reimbursements.
