It said Pompeo would provide commentary on Fox News and Fox Business Network for both daytime and prime-time shows. His first on-air appearance as a contributor will be Friday on “Fox & Friends.”

The post could benefit Pompeo by connecting the former Trump administration Cabinet member to Fox’s audience. Pompeo is seen by many as a potential presidential candidate in 2024.

However, it’s likely Fox will end this current relationship with Pompeo if he does decide to run. The network terminated its contributor agreement with former Trump press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders after she announced she was running for governor of Arkansas.

Pompeo, who served as former President Trump’s secretary of State from 2018 to 2021 and is also a former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, has appeared on Fox New shows before as a guest.

Fox has recently hired other former Trump insiders as contributors including former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump.
