The Washington Football Team and New York Giants have one half of football in the books. As these two NFC East rivals went into the locker room at halftime, Washington was able to cling to a 14-10 lead. Daniel Jones opened up the scoring with a 6-yard touchdown run to cap off a 79-yard drive, but the most encouraging sign out of the Giants rushing attack has been Saquon Barkley. The star back — who is recovering from a torn ACL from a year ago — has shown a burst that should have everyone in New York breathing a sigh of relief. Meanwhile, Taylor Heinicke has found a groove, especially when he has looked in the direction of receiver Terry McLaurin, who hauled in Washington’s first touchdown of the game.
