A shooting in Smithsburg, Maryland, killed at least three people and injured several more, including a state trooper and the suspect.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a shooting incident at about 2:30 p.m. When deputies arrived at Columbia Machine, they found four gunshot victims, three of whom were dead.
